The floating visitor centre at Brockholes Nature Reserve was a winning competition entry from a design team led by Adam Khan Architects.

A series of buildings sit on a floating concrete pontoon in one of the reserve’s lakes, allowing visitors to get up close to the wildlife. The project won the RIBA National Award in 2012.
