Project Description

David Zwirner’s new London gallery occupies an 18th century Georgian town house including exhibition space offices, private showrooms and a reference library above.
The project included the opening up of floor plates to original ceiling heights, alterations to the Hay Hill frontage and new joinery creating greater daylight and art access.
Structure and services were rationalised to ventilate and subtly light the minimally detailed gallery spaces, which were integrated and subordinated off a central cantilevered stair, rising to a skylight. castle-davis managed the refurbishment on behalf of Jackson Coles.
