castle-davis was appointed to provide the full suite of consultant services from concept to occupation; contributing to design; negotiating lease agreements on a multi tenanted site; project and cost management to deliver world class studios.
A building within a building places three dance studio spaces onto the first floor of a very lightly built enclosure building. Structure borne vibration and noise were not to break out of the demise and the structure had to be assembled in a very confined and inaccessible location.
Studio Wayne McGregor was the first arts organisation to move into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, created within Here East, formerly the International Press and Broadcast Centre of the London 2012 Olympics.
